Mind Your Own Business

Are we heading into a recession? Got your money in place or find yourself living paycheck to paycheck?

If there was an issue Jesus like to address, it was money. Why? Because money drives most of our biggest decisions.

During November, we want to challenge you to "Mind Your Own Business" so some one else doesn't have to. Housing are being foreclosed, people are loosing their jobs, and frankly - this economic climate has most of us scared. Come this week and learn what God has to say about managing our money.

Fall Festival 08

Fall festival was a huge success. Thank you to all the volunteers, partnerships, and donations that made this night special. Over 400 of our neighbors came to play games, eat candy and even ride our hay rack ride.

I am so proud to be a part of our church - Common Ground. Each person who served gave of their best. You made a real difference. Clearly it was one of the best parties in the neighborhood.

30 Days to Live

Where is your life heading? Are you becoming who you want to be? What if you could reset your life, where would you take it then?

For many of us, we find our lives living us rather then us living our lives. We don't want that and we don't want to be "that guy" or "gal."

Take the next 4 weeks and wrestle with four values we believe with change your life. Take the next 30 days and pursue life in a whole new perspective.

30 Days to Live! See you there.

My Family Sitcom

September Message series. In September we will be looking at some families who put the "fun" in dysfunction when it comes to families issues. You know, every home has a little comedy, a little mystery and a whole lot of drama.

Join us as we look at some families through out Genesis and the lessons we can learn from their life stories.

Common Ground 2.0 and new blog

A new blog - really? On Sept. 7, 2008, Common Ground celebrated 1 year of ministry. After one year of ministry, we have already come out with an upgraded version of who we are becoming.

Like AOL, the iPhone, and any commodity we embrace with our lives, upgrades have become essentials. Sometimes it is because a new priority or direction in the use of that commodity. Sometimes it is because of a glitch. No matter the reason an upgrade is required.

Common Ground desires to stay on point of reaching those far away from God. In order to communicate changes, new endeavors, re-alignments, and vision - we have developed a church blog. Update from staff and key leaders will help us navigate our second year of ministry beyond the promotion of our church website and regular form of communication. This will give you more of an insider's pulse to the life of our church.

So connected here. Post thoughts and comments and stay in the game because God is up to something here and we would hate for you not to take the journey with us.
